Real estate refers to a type of property that stays immovable in its nature like owning a piece of land. It is also referred as real property. It can be a piece of land and it can be anything attached with that land like a house, a shop, a mall, any type of building being built on that land. Real estate laws are a system of regulations and rules that supervises the dealings regarding the real estate matters like buying, selling etc. in all such real estate matters, a certain code of laws has been devised known as the real estate law and it should be kept in mind that these laws vary from a certain jurisdiction to another.

There are certain laws that are to be followed in all the spheres of life as these laws make it very clear how to deal with that particular field or operation. Same is the case with real estate. Real estate laws are to be known while going to engage in any sort of property dealing or such matter.  There is a large number of people who seems to be oblivious of these laws while they are panning to enter this field. It can cause them major harm later on. There are different specific terms and concepts that are a part of this real estate business and it is very essential to be aware of these before plunging into this field.  Whether you are going to sell your property or you are planning to buy one, real estate laws should be followed in order to make that deal legally legitimate and safe for your own benefit.

Another factor is to keep in mind that these laws vary from one state or country to other. Owning a piece of property allows you to do whatever you like with that piece of land like selling it, renting it, leasing it or building a house on it but there are certain rules and laws that are be followed and these laws are generally applicable only to that jurisdiction, where you are owning that property. For example, there are certain laws that prohibit the owner of a property to build a commercial building in the residential area. In this manner, the owner is allowed to build any thing but still he or she has to follow certain laws where to build what type of building.

Generally it is to be seen that the use of the property should be in sync with its commercial, residential or industrial usages, the environmental hazards should be removed from that property a soon as possible, environment friendly designs and architectures, payments laws, mortgage laws, personal injury laws (if someone getting injured on your property due to your act of negligence) etc are the various types of real estate laws. These real estate laws are being imposed by the governments and it should be made sure that these are followed as well. Otherwise, the violation of these rules can result in fines and in some cases, imprisonment as well.
